Five footprints, one simple choice
Pick a width and a depth — roughly 840 to 1,560 sq ft. Need more room? into a 2,100 sq ft double, or larger. Each unit also has a man door — a walk-in entry door — on the left or right of the garage door, with end units having a side entrance.
Footprint types offered: 21 by 40 feet (840 sq ft), 21 by 50 feet (1,050 sq ft), 26 by 40 feet (1,040 sq ft), 26 by 50 feet (1,300 sq ft), and 26 by 60 feet (1,560 sq ft). Every unit is 20 feet tall with a 14-foot-tall garage door and a man door — beside the garage door on the left or right, or on the side wall for end units.

The basics
What is Vehicle Fortress?
Vehicle Fortress is a gated community of storage condominiums on I-75 in Fort Myers, Florida. Each unit is a private, enclosed, individually deeded garage condo built to store and protect cars, RVs, boats, trailers, and other vehicles from Florida's sun, storms, and humidity.
Do I own the unit, or is it a rental?
You own it. Each Vehicle Fortress unit is a deeded condominium — you hold title, build equity, and get a vote in the owner-controlled association. It's real estate you can keep, improve, rent out, or pass on, not a month-to-month storage rental.
Where is Vehicle Fortress located?
Vehicle Fortress is on I-75 in Fort Myers, Florida — about 5 minutes from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and 3 minutes from I-75 at Alico Road (Exit 128). Fly in, drive out.
Pricing & value
Is Vehicle Fortress a good value?
Vehicle Fortress offers full-amenity, private, deeded ownership at among the most affordable prices in its class. Comparable options tend to be either higher-end custom builds or lower-tier shared and open-air storage — Vehicle Fortress sits in the middle: premium features without the premium price.
How much does a unit cost?
Every unit is priced individually by size, location, and phase, and pricing moves as the final phase sells. Call Phil Pugh at (239) 591-4700 or email phil@philpugh.com — he'll walk you through current pricing on every available unit, no pressure and no obligation.
What are the HOA dues?
As a condominium, Vehicle Fortress has an owner association with dues that cover maintenance, insurance, security, and reserves. Dues are among the lowest for a comparable facility; contact Phil Pugh at (239) 591-4700 for the current figure on a specific unit.
Can I rent out my unit?
Yes. Vehicle Fortress is a condominium association, and owners can lease their units to others — a way to offset ownership costs when you're not using the space yourself.
The units
What sizes are available?
Units range from about 840 to 1,560 square feet, and adjacent units can be combined into larger footprints — from a 2,100 sq ft double on up. Ceilings are 20 feet — tall enough for car lifts and stacked storage.
How big are the garage doors?
Motorized, insulated garage doors range from about 15 to 20 feet wide and 14 feet tall, with 65-foot drive aisles for maneuvering the longest motorhomes, fifth wheels, and trailered boats.
Is there air conditioning?
Air conditioning is included in every unit — protecting vehicles from Florida's heat and humidity and making the space comfortable to work in. Units also have access to restrooms, showers, and laundry, with Wi-Fi in common areas and available for individual units.
Can I customize the inside of my unit?
Yes — owners are welcome to build out their interiors extensively, from car lifts and cabinetry to lighting and finishes.
Protection & availability
How did Vehicle Fortress hold up in the hurricanes?
Vehicle Fortress came through Hurricanes Irma and Ian with no leaks, flooding, or loss of power. The buildings sit 24 feet above sea level, away from storm surge, with solid concrete-block construction and a monitored fire alarm and sprinkler system throughout.
How secure is it?
The property has a coded gated entrance, an eight-foot perimeter fence, and security cameras. Each owner sets their own private keypad code and can add whatever additional security they want inside their own unit.
Is anything still available?
VF I and Phase A are sold out. Phase B — the final phase — is under construction and reserving now. Availability is limited and moving; contact Phil Pugh at (239) 591-4700 or phil@philpugh.com to see what's still open.
